Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
*Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
*Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
*Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
*Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
*Monthly check of fire extinguishers and fire system testing.
*Maintains Wastewater Treatment System.
*Responsible for immediate maintenance of any safety related problem.
*Possesses basic plumbing skills, ability to fix leaks, replace faulty valves or solenoids.
*Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires, cables and/or components.
*Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Repair, PE, Kaizen Coordinator, Kaizen Assistant, and Tool Grinder, to diagnose malfunction.
*Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, positions sensing devices, and safety devices.
*Follows layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings including reading basic blueprints and schematics.
*Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
*Troubleshoots machines and determines if problems are mechanical, electrical or pneumatic/hydraulic.
*Checks fuses, circuit breakers and overload/diagnose electrical problems using a volt ohm meter.
*Fabricates replacement parts using lathe, mill, welder, and other shop tools.
*Reads and completes preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment.
*Knows and follows the Lock Out Tag Out procedure.
*Must receive Forklift License.
*Must have valid driver’s license.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have strong mechanical aptitude, ability to operate mill, lathe, and shear. Should be able to operate band saw, horizontal saw, and drill press. Must possess welding skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience as TCA Maintenance/Repair Associate with above average evaluation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Familiar with ladder logic, able to learn /know basic electrical and pneumatic symbols.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Basic math skills a must also.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer literate, familiar with internet, and able to use hand held programmers.

The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, and depth perception. Able to climb and work above 10 feet, balance while working off of ladder.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Work in close quarters and confined spaces. Able to work in extreme temperatures, may be required to work outside.
