The Staff Accountant II for Grocery supports the Division Accounting group by preparing and booking general ledger journal entries, reconciling GL accounts and researching and analyzing transactions.  The senior status of this position is distinguished by intermediate-level accounting experience.

Prepare and book general ledger journal entries; reconcile GL accounts and make adjustments as required.
Maintain records and files of financial information.
Assist in variance analysis and other financial reporting.
Facilitate various jurisdictional audit and information requests.
Prepare and file state, local and other jurisdictional tax returns and reports.
Review and analyze various internal tax reports and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Assist in meeting physical security and internal control objectives of tax indicia and taxable product.
This position has additional responsibilities. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor’s discretion.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Have at least 2 years of of accounting work experience.
Oracle E-Business Suite experience is preferred.
Be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
