The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time assistant director, responsible for overseeing the University Gateway program to support at-risk students and to assist with advising students across a wide variety of interests and needs. Also responsible for advising students who are undeclared or students who are interested in changing their primary program or study. This position is responsible for all aspects of advising including intake and continuing advising of undeclared students, both first-year and transfer. This position reports to the Director of Academic Advising and promotes and supports the philosophy and mission of the Oiler Success Center, Student Affairs and university-wide initiatives related to the student learning experience and academic success. This position is part of the Academic Advising team and assists with office functions in relation to that office. The incumbent is responsible for the overall administration of Academic Support Courses available University-wide. This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment.
