The University of Findlay invites applications for an assistant professor to teach media production courses in the Communication Department and oversee the campus radio station. This is a fulltime, non-tenure track position to begin August 2021 in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The UF Communication program offers majors in journalism/digital media, public relations, and organizational communication.

The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in media production and teaching experience at the college level. In addition, online teaching and industry-based professional experience are preferred. Candidates with a master’s degree in a media production field, in combination with extensive professional experience, will also be considered for the position. Courses to be taught include all levels of video, audio, and digital media production. WLFC radio responsibilities include assisting student staff with on-air presentation skills and ensuring all FCC regulations are followed. In addition to radio station management, this position will work with the department to help incorporate convergent campus media into curricular and co-curricular activities. Other responsibilities include: Contributing to continual program improvement through annual assessment procedures, assisting in the recruitment of students to the communication programs, and participating in required university and department meetings, events, and activities.
