Job Description

The University of Findlay (www.findlay.eduis seeking a full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach, responsible for the facilitation and maintenance of speed, strength, and conditioning programs for all varsity athletics.  Also, maintenance of a three person staff including scheduling and facility management.

Established in 1882 through a joint partnership between the Churches of God, General Counsel and the city of Findlay, the University of Findlay has nearly 80+ majors leading to baccalaureate degrees and offers 11 master’s degrees, a doctor of pharmacy, a doctor of physical therapy, a doctor of occupational therapy and an Ed.D. More than 3,700 students are enrolled at Findlay.  In addition, our faculty and staff strive to create a supportive community in which our students grow and find their path to a meaningful life and productive career.

Job Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree preferred, with one year of experience.  The candidate must possess an approved Strength and Conditioning Certification.

This position requires the candidate to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.  Must be able to lift raise or lower an object from one level to another (includes upward and pulling motion) of 50-75 lbs. and must be able to carry/transport an object/equipment weighing 50-75 lbs.

This is a full-time 11-month position, and hours of work and days vary depending on athletic practice and competition schedule. Some evening and weekend work is expected.  This job requires travel with the teams to competitions and events.
