The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time assistant women’s basketball coach/recruiting coordinator, responsible in assisting in all management aspects of the women’s NCAA intercollegiate basketball program in accordance with institutional, NCAA Division II and Conference bylaws and regulations.
This job requires travel with athletic team to competitions and events. A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. Some evening and weekend work, and some overnight travel are expectations of this position.

A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred, with 18 months of related coaching experience at the collegiate level. Preference given to candidates with additional years of coaching experience. The candidate must possess: knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences including eligibility, recruiting and certification; ability to objectively evaluate physical performance and mental capabilities related to the intercollegiate athletic program, skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public; skills and experience in public relations and promotional activities; strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management and interpersonal skills; ability to protect confidential information and present a professional demeanor; team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be flexible, and the ability to work under occasional pressure; ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and diverse student population; knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications; strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management and interpersonal skills; and the ability to mentally and physically perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
