Major Duties

 

Classification: Exempt\Non-Bargaining
Position may be located in any CCI location.  Position may be remote but must be within telecomuting distance to the Consolidated office. #LI-Remote

This position is responsible for the analysis of the company benefits plans.  Assists in the implementation and administration of the employee benefits programs consistent with company objectives.

Responsibilities

 

Responsible for the analysis of the Company’s benefit plans and programs; including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and reimbursement accounts.

Benefits Analyst Tasks

Ensure benefit plans are administered according to plan provisions and company regulatory guidelines.
Work with insurance carriers to resolve issues regarding eligibility and claims
Ensure benefit accounts reconcile within payroll and benefit timelines
Contribute to departmental activities and programs by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Submit invoices as needed for various vendors
Initiate interface files as needed
Assist in employee escalation issues
Ensure open enrollment and qualified event maintenance is processed and reconciled
Work with broker, benefit peers and employees/retirees of the Company
Identify, suggest and implement ongoing process improvements
Assist in ongoing employee policy review, communications such as summary plan descriptions, summary annual reports, benefit communications, etc.

Must be detailed oriented, able to reconcile benefit accounts, work within payroll and benefit schedules, and strive to meet deadlines.

Other:

Reports for work remotely from their primary residence. Subject to change based on the needs of the business
Must have adequate internet connect to perform the necessary job duties.
Must have a secluded office space.
Residence must be within a reasonable commuting distance to a CCI office location.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Experience with an HRIS system and PeopleSoft is a plus.  Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.  Must demonstrate ability to perform independently and to work effectively with all levels of the organization.  Familiarity with a union environment is helpful.

Must be able to handle an environment where priorities change rapidly.  Must be able to independently handle responsibilities simultaneously and be able to prioritize.  Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with both internal and external venders and customers.

Must be detailed oriented, able to reconcile benefit accounts, and strive to meet deadlines.

Above average written and oral communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all employee data.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance or equivalent experience/education; excellent analytical computer skills, especially spreadsheets, databases and word processing; strong customer service skills and attention to detail.  Minimum of 3 years of experience in a benefit related field is desired.
