Salaried exempt position assists City Engineer with supervision of activities of the Engineering Division; plan, design, review plans; project management of infrastructure improvements including transportation, drainage, waterline and sanitary sewers. Reviews plans of private & public improvements; oversees planning, design, and management of public works projects; supervises project inspection; attends committee meetings at TMACOG, etc. A copy of the job description will be provided to all applicants.

- Overseeing, planning, and designing of public works projects;
- Dealing with citizen complaints;
- Reviewing plans for subdivisions and dealing with contractors;
- Preparation and/or administration of public budgets;
- Experiences working with bid specifications, and public contracts;
- Working with boards/commissions/elected bodies;
- Managing and/or supervising personnel, and;
- Short-term and long-term planning.
