Job Description

The College of Business at the University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position with the rank of Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management beginning in August 2021. The program seeks applicants who believe in a team approach to education that is student-centered, are dedicated to providing learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, and desire to develop and lead the supply chain management program.  The candidate will be expected to teach a range of supply chain and logistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels that are seated and online. In addition, there is an expectation that this individual develops co-curricular opportunities and work with local and regional stakeholders to integrate them into our community. Other responsibilities would include program assessment, scholarship, and service activities. Rank and compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The business program is ACBSP accredited.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: The minimum requirement for this position is an MBA with degree work in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and/or Logistics from an accredited university with extensive experience in the area of operations management. Preference would be for a candidate with a doctorate or other terminal degree. We seek individuals that add value to the student experience and will enhance our outreach efforts in Northwest Ohio. A major focus of this position will be revising the supply chain and logistics curriculum and establishing co-curricular offerings for our students. Candidates must have the ability to develop and deliver course content, meet the administrative demands of the position, and assess student learning outcomes to manage the curriculum and ensure best practices. In addition, candidates should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the potential to assume leadership roles in the college curriculum planning. The rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications for the position.
