A Customer Service Representative provides a solution-based service to valued customers with company provided equipment and employee provided connectivity. During hours of operations, the Customer Service Representative is expected to provide dedicated, focused work. A successful individual will be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding, remote work environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency. This position requires a highly motivated virtual team player with strong self-management who is willing to go above and beyond while demonstrating a proactive, problem-solving mindset.


Primary Job Responsibilities:


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Process customer requests by fax, telephone, mail and/or email
  • Perform order entry in a timely manner, check orders for accuracy
  • Research customer inquiries and respond to appropriate parties timely
  • Keep customers informed of order status
  • Provide product information and technical resources
  • Notify customer of backorder or potential delay in shipment
  • Liaison between sales, logistics and customers
  • Answer phone in a professional manner
  • Participate in problem solving/process improvement meetings
  • Identify issues and escalate to supervisor/service coordinator
  • Ask for help and help others as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Skills:


This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

  • Good written/verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving mindset with ability to multitask
  • Ability to answer high volume of calls and/or emails daily with patience and attentiveness
  • Ability to share work among a virtual customer service team in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, can work overtime if needed
  • Desired Computing Skills:
    • Windows 10 proficiency – can navigate the screen, familiar with common terms such as maximize, minimize, task bar, system tray, can locate application launcher and search for an application
    • Experience with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers
    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Can understand, manage, and support their own connectivity to the Internet (Wi-Fi, Router, ISP)

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Customer Service that includes responsibility for data entry
