Job Description

This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers placing parts and service orders.  Responsibilities include receiving and reviewing customer purchase orders for accuracy, entering quotations and sales orders, and working directly with customers to promptly solve any order-related issues. This role is responsible for monitoring incoming customer support emails and telephone calls, assigning tasks as needed to ensure a prompt response. Additionally, this role coordinates the accuracy of machine records and harmonization codes. The individual in this role will maintain a fixed schedule which ensures departmental coverage during standard business hours while allowing for occasional overtime as required.

  • Steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses required whenever travelling through manufacturing environments.
  • Must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers through electronic devices (i.e. telephone and computer).

Job Requirements

  • High school education required with experience working in an office environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish goals with minimal direction.
  • Ability to execute problem-solving skills and make decisions independently.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor with customers during stressful situations.
  • Must have average to above-average computer skills.
  • Must be willing and able to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • 2 yr. degree in a job-related field.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of National Machinery products and/or services.
  • Familiarity with BAAN ERP system.
  • Competence in the Microsoft Office suite of programs including CRM.
