TPC Food Service has an opening for a Delivery Driver.

Desired Skills/Duties: TPC Food Service is a family business owned and operated in Tiffin since 1952. www.tpcfoodservice.com. CDL A driver would drive a tractor and a 53′ or 28′ van. Also, may drive a box truck. CDL B driver would drive a 26’ single axle box truck or 30’ tandem axle box truck. All vans and box trucks are refrigerated to carry refrigerated or frozen product. Most of the fleet are automatic trucks. Trucks that are a manual transmission have six gears. Tractors with a manual transmission have 10 gears. TPC uses Freightliner or International vehicles.

Non-CDL driver would drive a 26’ single axle box truck or a box van. All vans and box trucks are refrigerated to carry refrigerated or frozen product. Most of the fleet are automatic trucks. Trucks that are a manual transmission have six gears.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays and Sundays Start time can vary but most routes leaving between 5:00 am -7:00 am. Return time (same day) late afternoon. Busy season starts in March and goes until the end of September (8-10 hour days). Drivers unload customers’ orders with hand cart off ramp Tractor trailers (with Reefer) for CDL A and straight truck (with Reefer) CDL B.

Pay and Benefits Driver Performance Compensation Program: This performance program will pay on the driver’s performance based on total pieces delivered and accuracy. The more the driver delivers while maintaining quality and accuracy the more the driver will be compensated. The hourly pay rate will range from $14.00 – 18.00 an hour. The hourly rate includes a weekly driver bonus and driver longevity bonus. New drivers will be paid hourly during their training period. The hourly training wage is $16.00 for CDL B and $16.00 for CDL A and includes the weekly driver bonus and driver longevity bonus. After training, the driver is on the driver performance package. The driver’s hourly wage is determined by day pay, mileage pay, piece pay, stop pay and backhaul pay. The hourly range on the pay package is $17.00 – to over $21.00 an hour.

Weekly Driver bonus: Drivers will receive a weekly bonus ($1.00 an hour for total weekly hours) with the completion of the checklist. Longevity bonus – ($1.00 an hour for total hours for 12 months) is paid out in September each year. Tpc will assist non-cdl drivers get there CDL license.
