Purpose of the Position: To receive complaints from the public concerning crimes, or emergencies involving police, fire and medical response units, broadcast the information to the appropriate entity, relay instructions or questions from remote units. Access data necessary to the units to respond appropriately.
An open competitive examination for Public Safety Communications Officer (Dispatcher) for the City of Findlay is announced by the Civil Service Commission. Applicants are required to complete a Civil Service Application and contact the Civil Service Office to schedule an exam date. Civil Service Applications are available at: www.findlayohio.com/civilservicetest or from the Civil Service Office – Room 304 or Mayor’s Office – Room 310 located in the City of Findlay Municipal Building, 318 Dorney Plaza, Findlay, Ohio during regular business hours. A completed Civil Service Application must be received or postmarked no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 13, 2022.
