Job Description

ENGINEER, TOOLING DESIGN
 
Researches, designs, repairs and develops, with minimal guidance, a wide variety of tooling for company products.  Oversees development of state-of-the art, new and modified systems.  Works closely with other engineering areas and customers to obtain optimum utilization of equipment.  Follows parts from concept through development and into production.  Assignments require original thinking and ingenuity to solve problems.  Other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s degree in a mechanical engineering field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, concepts, practices, and theories.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and course work in dynamics and strength of materials.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with 3D design software and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Strong problem solving abilities
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Office environment with occasional shop environment.
