Position:Forklift Operator I

Location:400 Crystal Ave. Findlay OH. 45840

Pay: $18.40 an hour

Shift: 6 AM – 4:30 PM; Monday thru Thursday!

While reporting to theSupervisor,asan Experienced Manufacturing Associate or Entry LevelAssociates, youwill be responsible for operating all manufacturing equipment.Safety, quality, productivityandstrongwork ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Operate a forklift safely and efficiently

Utilize the computer, touch screen, master control panel.

Complete Forklift Inspection Report (OSHA requirement)

Sort Dunnage & Supply Palletizers with supplies

Load strappers, basic troubleshooting, and pick up around Pallet Take-away Conveyor

Supply lines with raw materials

Stack finished can pallets in warehouse

Remove all raw materials from lines & return to inventory

Maintain membrane staging area

Proficiently use Oracle, Tel-Net, and MyShopFloor App to move materials and troubleshoot

Strong organizational and time management skills to properly supply lines

Understand and perform visual and dimensional quality control checks.

Effectively communicate utilizing Sonoco quality terminology on production paperwork, to trainers, and supervisor.

Perform housekeeping duties and make sure that area is free of unnecessary debris and trash to maintain a more safe and productive work environment.

Must verify code numbers on labels and membranes match production sheet.

Identify packaging material-layer boards, top frames, etc. for possible reuse.

Must be an effective communicator over the public address system.

Follow all safety rules.
