Job Description

HIRING MANAGER: Lisa Christman


Responsible for overall operations of the West Findlay branch and Mt Cory branch including personnel, equipment, accounting, inventory and customer service.

Essential Functions of the Job:
* Outstanding customer service including help with grain origination and being a Legacy team member
* Supervising branch employees, and adhering to company policies. This includes labor expense control, budgeting, operational efficiency, project management, etc
* Prepare facility project analysis including the financial plan and ROI projections
* Equipment, building and ground maintenance, and expense control of related repairs
* Efficient movement of grain through the facility
* Keeping stored grain in condition, including reading of temperature cables
* Working with President & CEO and Grain Merchandiser in planning logistics and other grain related issues
* Plan, coordinate and execute in conjunction with President & CEO and Grain Merchandiser, the loading, sampling, and release of rail freight cars
* Blending outbound grain to maximize profitability
* Maintain attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative
* Accuracy of accounting at the branch including grain tickets, purchase orders, receiving reports and monthly inventories
* Accurately weighing, sampling and grading inbound grain and accuracy of outbound weights
* Segregating of different qualities of inbound grain as much as physically possible
* Possess flexibility and adaptability in meeting constraints and demands
* This position requires a full range of body motion including bending, climbing and twisting. Will also be working outside to inspect the facility.

Job Requirements

* High school graduate with additional business/agricultural background
* Working knowledge of grain operations and 2 years management experience in the grain elevator industry preferred
* Responsible for equipment assigned, such as truck
* Proof of and maintaining a safe driving record is a condition of employment and will be monitored by LFC’s insurance provider
* Self-motivated and ability to work well with others and independently
* Required to uphold all of LFC’s Company, Credit and Safety policies
* Ability to adapt to and work longer and/or varied hours during busy season as the needs of the business dictate
* Customer-service focused
* Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills
* Work with Safety & Security Director to manage our risks
* Follow company grain marketing policy and guidelines
* Help to develop and implement programs and origination tools to establish Legacy Farmers Cooperative as the customers’ preferred grain marketer
* Establish goals to attain growth in business as well as work as a team to enhance our efficiency to our customers

Miscellaneous Information & Preferred Experience:
* Minimal overnight travel
* Standard work week is Monday through Friday; needs of the business may dictate exceptions to this standard
* Applicants agree to be drug tested as a condition of employment and will not be hired should he/she fail to produce a negative test
* Good computer skills
* Possesses flexibility and adaptability in meeting constraints and demands
