Job Description

Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be participating in the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-wide endpoint management technologies and services for various systems and devices. Assisting with the build-out and support of the cloud environment and continued improvements with all internal and external applications to run the business. Establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with IT leaders, service desk, cyber security, and other individual team members regarding technical issues and planned changes. A successful candidate will be self-driven and have a desire to learn new technologies in all aspects.  This candidate will also be security minded to assist with hardening the environment from cybersecurity threats.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and experience working with both AWS and Azure cloud services
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and VMware administration and associated hardware in both physical and cloud-based environments.
  • Work with PowerShell\JSON\Python to assist in infrastructure reporting\improvements\IaaS
  • Patch\protect servers for vulnerabilities and configuration issues.
  • Strong working knowledge, supporting and administration of Microsoft teams, One Drive, SharePoint online, as well as User Account administration best practices.
  • Work within VOIP system to support end users (RingCentral, but not limited to)
  • Work on physical server infrastructure (UCS, Dell, IBM etc…)
  • Knowledge/experience with general networking, wireless devices and applications
  • Regularly attending team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and put forward solutions to any issues that may arise
  • Oral, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and all levels of management.
  • On-call support along with occasional after-hours\weekend support (depending on active projects)
  • Special projects as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work with a sense of urgency in order to meet the needs of business.
  • Strong team skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Linux experience a plus (but not required)
  • Industry certifications a plus – Microsoft, AWS Cloud Practitioner, VMware VCTA or VCP, Security +

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a min. of 5 years working within IT along with industry certifications
  • Experience in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, JSON)
  • 2 years’ experience in Cloud Services and administration
  • 2 years’ experience with VMware
  • 2 years’ experience with O365 administration (user management\email services\end user support)
  • Experience in Cisco networking (Meraki a plus)
