3rd Shift / 4 tens – 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Has the ability to conduct dimensional layout of parts and Check Fixtures using the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and manual gauges such as a height gauge, micrometers, calipers, and radius gauges.
Assist in completing necessary paperwork for PPAP package, including dimensional, material, ES test, marked up blueprint, Labeling and cleaning of Check Fixtures, etc.
Conducts R&R studies and writes gauge instructions/procedures on all gauges & fixtures.
Assist in Dock Auditing of product prior to shipment.
Assist Production Team in understanding of Quality requirements of parts.
Participants in capabilities studies & reviews.
Support tool & die corrective actions as needed.
Assist in coordinating/conducting ES testing and documentation.
Support receiving inspection, in process and final inspection.
Responsible for check fixture calibration (certification program.)
Responsible for plant wide & tool room personal gage calibration.
Interfaces with internal customers, and participates and leads problem solving teams on production, customer, and supplier concerns.
Support safety programs. Also responsible for practicing good housekeeping standards.

Technical/other training (preferred)
Prefer a minimum of 4 years working with measuring instruments, such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, check fixtures, etc. Prefer some knowledge of understanding and interpreting blueprints. Training in SPC and GD&T preferred. Certification in ASQ Quality Technician Certificate preferred. Automotive experience preferred. (required)
