Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work independently or as assistant to other Maintenance Department personnel on a wide range of duties throughout the plant and grounds in the maintenance and repair of facilities buildings, grounds, machinery and equipment.
  • Perform functions in support of plant operations to include DI System operation, Wastewater Treatment System operation, and Hazardous Waste Management.
  • Report defective materials, facilities, machinery, equipment and unsafe conditions observed immediately to supervisor. Implement emergency notification procedures, when necessary, as specified in the Contingency Plan.
  • Follow all prescribed and standard safety regulations, to include Lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance operations.
  • Repair and maintain all steam, water, argon lines.
  • Maintain chemical handling for all test stands
  • Following job procedures to recharge all cleanline tanks.
  • Perform fabrications and modifications to support production and enhance safety.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary to support overall plant operations.
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes (not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)
  • Powered Industrial Truck certification, required.
  • Respirator physical and training required.
  • Hazwoper training required.
  • This positing is a 2nd shift job, training will be done on 1st.
  • This position is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and write, interpret measurements and readings, exercise sound independent judgment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and work process instructions.
  • Ability to move parts and equipment in a safe and practical manner.
  • Ability to relate to and interact appropriately with others in a team environment and a willingness to assist, educate and train others.
  • Ability to use hand tools and inspect gauges.
  • Consistently comply with all applicable safety and health rules and regulations including compliance with a respiratory protection program and hearing conservation, if applicable.
  • Must have a high school diploma or a GED.
  • Due to our company’s position as a key supplier to the US defense industry. All employees must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
