Job Description

This position requires excellent electrical and mechanical skills specifically relating to manufacturing and supporting equipment. Work under the direction of the Maintenance supervisor with the independence expected to complete assigned tasks.

Work alongside mechanics and to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Extensive hands-on work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems as well as equipment modifications, upgrades and new installations. Work under pressure and meet deadlines and work overtime as required.

Essential Job Functions

Provide technical support to production lines to avoid and minimize downtime and ensure the proper operation of equipment for continuous runs.

Diagnose / troubleshoot and complex electronic control system malfunctions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Occasional travel to other locations possible if interested and needed

Essential Abilities & Skills

Be able to read and follow mechanical, hydraulic and electrical blueprints and schematics.

Computer literate with ability to learn new computer software programs.

Attention to detail and follow-up to assure successful solutions.

Ability to make decisions and take action on machinery issues in a timely manner.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to clearly communicate, appropriately, technical information to technical and non-technical people.

Knowledge of Siemens 5 & 7 PLC, Beckoff Automation industrial PCs or similar.

Excellent knowledge of AC & DC drives including but not limited to Parker, SSD, Lenze,

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

Certification and/or Associate degree in electrical engineering /controls, mechanical systems or similar.

5 years of maintenance troubleshooting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred

Physical requirements

Stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, hearing, repetitive motions. Standing for extended periods of time. Exposed to safety related conditions including moving machinery and energized systems. The majority of the work is performed indoors.
