Process Engineer North Baltimore, Ohio. This position supports Plant Manufacturing and Technical Operations while maintaining a strong focus on continuous Process Improvement and Optimization. Applies fundamental knowledge of advanced principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices to design, automate, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.
Develops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes.
Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process.
Initiates design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products.
Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools.
Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process. Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions.
Provides team leadership and direction of new process installation and process changes.
Plans, conducts, and supervises assignments. Reviews progress with management.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical/ Chemical engineering, or related degree from accredited four-year college or technical school strongly preferred
3 – 5 years of process manufacturing experience
Chemical manufacturing experience a plus
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong computer skills, including ladder logic
Ability to speak effectively before groups of associates.
Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear. Occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally handle up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with the exception of high noise areas. Proper personal safety equipment needs to be used while performing this job and that equipment is dictated by the plant safety guidelines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, vibration, non-hazardous chemical agents and outside weather conditions. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne.
