Job Description
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The Bioburden Reduction Cycle Associate (N-95 Processing Associate) removes, prepares, hangs, and packages N-95 masks for end-users.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duty 1: N95 Cycling Process:
1) Brings totes into cycle room (Keenly Boardroom)
2) Unpackages N-95 masks, Inspects masks
3) Hangs masks for robot cycling
4) Cycling of Xenex Robot
5) Packages masks
6) Interdepartmental communication
Duty 2: Promotes clean, safe work environment.
Duty 3: Ensures flow of patient care through identification and delivery of necessary supplies and equipment as required.
Duty 4: Demonstrates understanding of proper body mechanics utilized while working with equipment within the department.
Duty 5: Functions as a team member to support process improvement within the department.
Duty 6: Assumes an active role in keeping informed about changes in policies, procedures and equipment.
Duty 7: Functions in an autonomous capacity.
Duty 8: Ability to order supplies as necessary to continue functional operations of area.
Duty 9: Ability to identify issues and communicate those issues to leadership in a timely and effective manner.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Graduate
* Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
* This position requires the donning of Personal Protective Equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting and standing. The individual must have excellent eye-hand coordination with the ability to grasp, push and pull, finger dexterity and fine manipulation. The associate must be able to reach work above the shoulders. This position requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. The associate must have excellent verbal skills to communicate with patients, physicians, and co-workers. The associate must not have any lifting or reaching impairments.
This position is classified “at risk” for possible occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc.)
