Job Description

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The purpose of the Office Assistant is to support the Health Foundation team with daily office activities as well as projects and events, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Duty 1: Accurately processes donor gifts and monthly invoices to meet timely standards of office’s donor recognition policy.
* Duty 2: Trains with Foundation Assistant to take over payroll gift processing as part of the Associate Giving Campaign.
* Duty 3: Coordinates logistics for Foundation events including, but not limited to, stewardship events such as the Giving Club, Legacy Society Event and the signature Julie Cole Charity Golf Classic fundraiser as well as other annual events and projects.
* Duty 4: Updates lists and coordinates mailings and PR logistics for BVHF events and projects.
* Duty 4: Assists office with updating donor recognition lists for plaques and publications.
* Duty 6: Cross-trains with Foundation Assistant in monthly reporting to Finance and supports invoicing as needed.
* Duty 7: Assists with coordinating the Foundation scholarship process and scheduling Scholarship Committee meetings.
* Duty 8: Assists with BVHF Board and Committee meeting minutes as needed, along with mailings to Board members.
* Duty 9: Assists with coordinating the process and activities of the BVHF Grants Committee.
* Duty 10: Assists with tracking and ordering office supplies as needed.
* Duty 11: Performs other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma
* Proficient on computer to include: Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, etc; preferably competent with Blackbaud Raisers Edge.
* Positive, service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills
* Practiced and adept at managing details
* Independent thinker; mature decision-making capabilities; abstract thinking and organizational skills.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

* College degree
* Data entry and database experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent activities in walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and standing. The associate will be required to lift 50 pounds or more and lift work above the shoulders. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks.
