The Plant Controller has the authority and responsibility for ensuring that an accurate and timely payroll is prepared for hourly team members. The Plant Controller has the responsibility to compile and report plant performance measurable and audits and approves all plant accounts payable invoices for payment. Also, the Plant Controller is responsible for cost accounting, overhead calculation, sale tax compliance, and internal manufacturing reporting. Responsibilities also include the generating and auditing of financial statements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Audits and approves payroll information.
Has the authority to sign and distribute hourly payroll checks.
Audits payable batches and approves for payment.
Approves purchase orders. Evaluates and compares vendor quotes.
Maintains product costing files and calculates year-end burden rates and related costing data.
Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting compliance.
Develops internal control procedures.
Has the authority to generate, review and implement cost saving/reduction ideas.
Prepares internal payroll/production summary reports.
Has the authority and responsibility to prepare data for the monthly M.O.S. meetings.
Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
Performs other essential functions as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Science preferred
Prefer three (3) years experience with an automotive supplier.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer literate.
MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Team members must be able to stand on concrete floor for the duration of work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and use arms and hands. The team member must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and repetitively lift 10 – 20 pounds to a height of 48 inches. Visual precision is needed for reading documents, machine dial gauges, and possibly blueprints and precision measuring instruments. WORKING CONDITIONS Stamping and assembly factory environment, and subject to high noise levels from operational machines and physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
