Responsible for the coverage, retention, development and satisfaction of customers within the assigned sales territory of Northeast Ohio. This territory includes the cities of Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, New Philadelphia, Mansfield, Toledo, and Detroit (Michigan). Maintenance of all required records regarding the customers in the sales territory using Sales Link. Develop and create, in conjunction with management, all sales documents and sales aides required to achieve sales goals and company objectives. Informing of new product opportunities and up-and-coming product needs. Implement sales programs to expand new and traditional markets. Be available to represent the company at trade shows if necessary. Be available to assist with picking up service jobs and core. Notify Operations of all incoming jobs for scheduling. Follow up on complaints and warranties. If necessary, help to determine warranty acceptance. Work to reach projected sales and profit goals. Development of sales forecasts and business plans for each assigned customer. Support company policies in regards to warranty, restocking, pricing, and core. Compliance in a timely manner with all company required information.
The individual in this position must be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all of the forces around them: customers, suppliers, department employees, co-workers and manufacturers. It is extremely important and a must that this individual have strong selling skills and interpersonal communication skills. The individual must have a strong working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions. A basic working knowledge of diesel engines along with a strong desire to expand that knowledge. Ability to operate a computer, Windows-based software, and iPhone/iPad applications.

The individual must have a high school diploma. College and/or technical school certificate or equivalent would be a plus. Technical or industrial sales experience a plus –preferably in diesel and hydraulic related markets. The individual must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
