DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION Engineering Intern position to support our Engineering team. The individual is responsible for participating in the program to learn the business structure, operational functions, customers, and products. GENERAL OVERALL FUNCTIONS * Acquire knowledge of various department operations, functions, responsibilities, and work flow. * Observe and complete work assignments performed by others & self. Participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments. * Maintain communication with Manager and others as necessary to include feedback on assignments. CORE ENGINEERING FUNCTIONS * Assist in current process analysis by running, brainstorming for new ideals, implementing cost reduction, ergonomic improvements, parts flow and cycle time improvements. * Utilize Plan, Do, Check, Action project format to track and monitor improvements. * Assist in creating and tracking trend improvements utilizing Microsoft tools (Project, excel, etc.). * Assist engineers with the management of programs as required. * Assist with the functional testing of components as required and acquire knowledge as to the product’s end use.
